Halo Saunas Warranty

Halo Saunas 5-Year Limited Warranty

Nuovo Luxury Ltd is proud to offer a 5-year limited warranty on all Halo Saunas, covering various components to ensure long-lasting enjoyment and peace of mind. Please review the details below for specific coverage terms, conditions, and upkeep responsibilities.

Warranty Coverage Breakdown

  1. 5-Year Coverage:

    • Wooden Structure (including walls, benches, and doors): We provide a 5-year warranty on the structural integrity of the wooden components, ensuring they remain free from defects in materials and workmanship.
      • Exclusions: This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, damage caused by environmental factors (such as weather), improper installation, or misuse. Over time, minor fading, cracking, or discoloration of the wood, which is typical with regular use, is considered normal and is not covered by the warranty.

  2. 2-Year Coverage:

    • Sauna Heater: Covered for any defects in materials or workmanship for two years from the date of delivery.
    • Lights: Covered for any defects in materials or workmanship for two years from the date of delivery.
    • Exclusions: Issues arising from improper electrical setup, misuse, or damage due to power surges are not covered.

  3. What is Not Covered:

    • Normal Wear and Tear: Regular wear and tear on the benches, wooden structure, and other components from normal usage over time (such as small cracks, minor discoloration, or wear on seating areas) is not covered by this warranty. These are natural occurrences and are not considered manufacturing defects.
    • Electrical Components and Wiring: Issues with wiring outside the power box or connections from the sauna to the mains are not covered. It is the customer’s responsibility to hire a certified electrician for all electrical work.
    • Weather and Environmental Damage: The wooden structure or components damaged by exposure to rain, wind, snow, or humidity are not covered.
    • Accidental Damage or Misuse: Any damage resulting from moving the sauna, accidents, or improper use will void the warranty.
    • Ground Preparation: The sauna must be installed on solid, level ground. Damage caused by improper ground preparation, such as misalignment or structural issues, is not covered.

Electrical Setup Requirements

For your safety and to maintain the validity of this warranty, all electrical work must be performed by a fully qualified and certified electrician. Improper electrical setup may void this warranty and could pose serious safety risks. The following requirements must be followed:

  1. Dedicated Power Supply:

    • The sauna must be connected to a dedicated power supply. This means the electrical heater and other components should not share circuits with other household appliances. A dedicated supply helps prevent overloading and ensures safe operation.

  2. RCD (Residual Current Device):

    • Your electrician must install an RCD (Residual Current Device) for the electrical sauna heater. This is a mandatory safety measure to prevent electrical shock or faults.

  3. Stop Switch:

    • A stop switch should also be installed for the sauna’s electrical heater to ensure quick shutdown in case of an emergency.

  4. Circuit Breaker:

    • A properly rated circuit breaker must be installed. The amp rating of the breaker will depend on the kW rating of the heater and the total electrical load of the sauna. Your electrician must determine the correct breaker size based on the heater specifications and local regulations.

  5. Qualified Electrician Certification:

    • It is essential that your electrician certifies that the work has been done to the appropriate safety standards and is compliant with UK regulations. This certification ensures that your electrical setup is safe, and it will be required for any warranty claims related to the heater or lights.
    • The certification should include details of the RCD, stop switch, dedicated power supply, and breaker installation, as well as confirmation that the electrical load and connections are correctly set up.

Customer Responsibilities and Maintenance

Proper maintenance is essential to ensure the longevity of your Halo Sauna and the validity of this warranty. The following care and upkeep guidelines must be followed:

Temperature Control:

  • Always keep the sauna within the recommended temperature range of 70°C to 90°C. Overheating the sauna can lead to dehydration, burns, and damage to the wooden structure. Regularly check the temperature with a thermometer to avoid excessive heat.

Health Conditions:

  • If you have any health concerns, such as heart disease, high blood pressure, or breathing issues, consult your doctor before using the sauna. Halo Saunas are not intended for use by individuals with certain medical conditions that increase the risk of injury or complications.

Before Use:

  • Site Selection: Ensure the sauna is placed on flat, solid ground, away from slopes or uneven surfaces. The sauna must be located at least 3 metres away from trees, bushes, buildings, or flammable objects. Proper site selection reduces the risk of fire and allows for better ventilation.
  • Inspection of Connectors and Wires: Inspect all connectors and wiring for signs of damage, cracks, or wear before each use. Faulty wiring increases the risk of electric shock and fire. Contact a professional electrician if any issues are detected.
  • Ventilation Check: Confirm that the sauna’s ventilation is clear and functioning properly before each use. Blocked or inadequate ventilation can result in carbon monoxide build-up, which is dangerous and potentially fatal.

After Use
:

  • Cooling: Allow the sauna to cool down completely before closing it. Closing the sauna too soon after use can cause condensation, promoting mold growth and weakening the structure.
  • Cleaning: After each use, clean the sauna thoroughly. Remove any debris, ash, or dirt, and disinfect areas that come into contact with skin. Regular cleaning is essential for both hygiene and the longevity of the sauna.

Failure to adhere to these maintenance and safety guidelines may void this warranty.
